Dark Age[edit]
In 3145, the Sixteenth Lyran Regulars was described as one of the most tactically-proficient units in the brigade, and due to their skills was assigned the prestigious post of Gibbs. This position is centrally located to both the capital of Tharkad and many critical Lyran Commonwealth infrastructure sites. Knowing this, Lyran Commonwealth High Command chose to reinforce the Sixteenth with the remaining survivors of both the Fourth Lyran Regulars and the Seventh Lyran Regulars in hopes of giving the oversized unit more of a chance in battling the routine raids of Clan Wolf and Clan Jade Falcon.
