Formation

The Sixth Arkab Legion was formed after the destruction of the 5th Arkab Legion during the Second Succession War.[1] It had not seen much action in either the Third or Fourth Succession Wars. The unit is typically stationed on Arkab and only called to active duty at great need.

Dominion War

The Sixth Arkab Legion sent a single battalion of troops to Meilen to support the 17th Galedon Regulars. The Legion forces were too late to save the Regulars, but did harass the Clan Ghost Bear forces until the end of the conflict.[2]

Federated Suns Incursion

Jihad

On February 12, 3071 several asteroids struck Arkab.[3] After trying for six months the Arkab leadership wasn't able to get any help from the Draconis Combine leadership. The Sixth Legion was already in place, helping the planet recover from the attacks. Kanrei Kiyomori Minamoto sent several demands and threats to the 6th Legion and all Arkab leaders, but the Legions refused to leave their homeworlds.

In 3079 with the Jihad winding down, the Sixth Legion stationed its units on Dabih and Albalii.[4]

Officers

  • As of 3059 to 3067, Tai-sa Jusiral Bjutial commands the Sixth as of 3059, though he is past normal retirement age for the DCMS. Because the Sixth traditionally garrisons the world of Arkab, Bjutial may speak for the entirety of the Arkab Legion when necessary. He was still in command in 3067.[1][7]
  • As of 3085 the commanding officer is Tai-sa Theodosius Mihov.[8]

Tactics

The Sixth practices stealth, recon, and quick strikes. Their garrison on a desert planet has given them experience operating in hot environments.[1]
