The Nagel system is located near the Mirage and Benedict systems.

System History[edit]

The Nagel system was colonized during or shortly before the Age of War.[1] It was located in the Edgeward Beta Combat Theater of the Crucis March and vanished from maps during the Third Succession War.[2][3]

In 2710, the 205th BattleMech Division earned its nickname "The Alamo Division" in a battle with a rogue BattleMech regiment from the Taurian Concordat on Valois. During the battle, a Taurian DropShip launched an Alamo nuclear weapon at the oncoming 205th troops. One of the LAMs pilots with the 205th realized what type of missile the Taurians had launched and intercepted it. The sacrifice of the pilot saved the 205th as the warhead exploded in the atmosphere, killing only the LAM pilot.[32]
