Archon-Designate of the Lyran Commonwealth
(Redirected from Archon-Designate)
Archon-Designate is the title granted to the designated heir of Lyran Commonwealth.[1] The ruling Archon typically names their own heir, but in the absence of a will, the Estates General can choose between competing claims.[2] The body can also refuse to ratify a candidate they feel is unqualified, though the act can be circumvented.[3]

Notes[edit]
While Katherine was heir-presumptive to the title of Archon-Prince during Victor's reign, her brother Peter was the Archon of the Lyran Commonwealth, a position directly below the Archon-Prince which served as his brother's regent on Tharkad while court was in session on New Avalon.[13]
