The BattleTech: Essentials is a physical game box containing the necessary pieces, papers, and material to serve as an introduction to the tabletop version of BattleTech. Compared to the original and second Edition BattleTech Beginner Boxes, BattleTech: Essentials is more specifically focused on the Solaris Games dueling arenas. It was accompanied by a promotional video voiced by the (still currently apocryphal) Duncan Fisher.
BattleTech: Essentials is exclusive to Target and was released on 18 June 2023.
