History[edit]

Indigo Rain, X72 - Y399
Northwind System

29 December, 3069
Stuart Campbell managed to smuggle himself off Northwind in a small shuttlecraft armed only with a powerful communications system. Broadcasting a powerful repeater beacon, Campbell's sole mission was to attract some merchant traffic that may arrive at the system's farthest pirate points and pass on vital information regarding Northwind.
Though he can no longer fulfill his mission - he died from injuries sustained in his escape before his air had a chance to run out - his beacon message didn't go unnoticed. Two forces converged on the small planetoid at the edge of Northwind system - one to liberate, one to destroy.
In the balance hangs the future of an entire system...

The flames of the Blakist war have scorched the Inner Sphere. At the height of their power the Word of Blake now unleash their most potent weapons to help secure the borders of their Protectorate: the Manei Domini. Piloting the new Celestial series of cutting-edge OmniMechs, these supersoldiers are nightmare incarnate.

On the world of Northwind, the infamous Northwind Highlanders regiments have been sidelined by a blockade, their fate unknown. Now, Colonel Loren Jaffray an ad hoc unit including the last remnants of the Black Watch are attempting to free those regiments. Yet the Word of Blake will not take interference lightly and have dispatched a hunter killer unit of their most elite Manei Domini: the Opacus Venatori.

Will Jaffray and the Ghosts of the Black Watch survive? You decide!

Results[edit]

Jaffray and part of his forces survived what was finally a trap by the Word of Blake and escaped off-world.[1]
