The Black Wolves were a company created and disbanded in less than a year, probably the Dragoons most short-lived unit. It was created on the planet Parma, where Gamma Regiment was stationed. Several of the Dragoons were arrested by kuritan police, by minor charges or even totally faked accusations. This was the doing of the Dragoons' new liaison officer, Tai-Sa Reiko Akamine, to force concessions of the mercenary unit. When negotiations failed, tensions between Dragoons and their kuritan masters, and even more between Dragoons' officers began to rise. The same day of the failed negotiations, 25 November 3150, an envoy of Clan Wolf arrived on planet. It was Star Captain Marotta Kerensky, with a offer for the Dragoons to rejoin Clan Wolf, or at least assist them in the IlClan Trial.[1]
Marotta came with a DropShip, the Savagery, carrying a full company worth of Wolf OmniMechs and BattleMechs as a present to the Dragoons, already painted in their colors, but they were kept in his DropShip. After Dragoons' leader, Thomas Brubaker refused to help, Gamma's leader, Nicholas Crews, decided to mutiny and led his regiment and other subcommands to Terra by their own. After forcibly freeing the captive Dragoons from the kuritan prison, Crews promoted Deborah Sheridan to captain again, and used the freed Dragoons, and others, including Marotta, to create a new company, the Black Wolves Company, under Sheridan's command.[2]
The Black Wolves ambushed Brubaker's command company in the Battle of Parma, defeating them and capturing him. At least two of their members, Doc Crouch and Jazion Weiser, died in the battle. Sheridan survived and participated in the negotiations with Brubaker. In exchange for agreeing to lead the Dragoons to go to Earth, he demanded Sheridan and Crews to face justice after the battle for Terra. Both agreed.[3]
Deborah and her unit fought in the Battle of Terra, leading the Black Wolves against the Falcons' Zeta Galaxy.[4]
As she wasn't mentioned between the Dragoon survivors which gathered on Savannah the 3 June, it is implied than Deborah was killed in the battle. The only known survivor of the company was Marotta. The Company wasn't active after Terra.[5]
