Engels was a former member of Clan Jade Falcon's touman and later, though briefly, one of the founding leaders of the Clan Jade Falcon Remnants.

History[edit]

Engels was probably a trueborn of the Falcons. Of unknown age, but an advanced one, eventually became a solahma destined as leader of Dompaire's garrison, remaining there when Malvina Hazen took almost all the Falcon's touman to the Battle of Terra. As the world was unremarkable, he had a full Trinary of 'Mechs and vehicles under his orders. Engels took the opportunity to create his own bandit kingdom, abusing and extorting the local population. While the production quotas of the mines were fulfilled, nobody in his Clan questioned its methods.

But all that changed in 3151. With the Falcons annihilated, a new group emerged on the nearby Sudeten. A new Khan, Jiyi Chistu was proclaimed, and he travelled to Dompaire. When Jiyi informed Engels than the mines' quotas had to be increased in a fifty percent, and then he would take two thirds of the garrison. He argued, but Chistu simply broke his nose and departed, leaving a single Star behind at garrison.[1]

Engels' tyrannical rule didn't last too long: without the forces to keep controlled the population, a few months later, people revolted, and soon Engels only controlled a small portion of the system, with his cronies taking the best food and leaving the population only the scraps. The drastic reduction of the shipments alerted Chistu, who returned, finding Engels drunk in a revelry with multiple people in various states of undress. Chistu broke his nose again and, after taking conscience of Engels' crimes, he sent his forces to crush the rebellion, with Engels reduced as a mere warrior, stuffed into an Afreet battle suit. What happened is unknown, but Engels knew that his return and survival weren't expected, and once the rebellion ended, he was unaccounted. Nobody knew what happened to him or cared.[2]
