Moreau's Dagger was an obsidian spire, a rock formation common in the Babylonian badlands, with great importance to Clan Goliath Scorpion.

The Dagger, initially, was a simple rocky formation in the Spiked Heart Desert badlands of Babylon, one of many similar, until Operation KLONDIKE. Then, the Star League Defense Force officer Ethan Moreau, after being his forces destroyed, was stung multiple times by Babylonian goliath scorpions, a large arachnid inhabiting the desert wastelands with a highly toxic venom, often causing death and brain damage to survivors, and having hallucinogenic properties. In 2822, Ethan would be found by an Ice Hellion patrol. He had climbed to the top of the Dagger, and was screaming in delirium. When the patrol was close enough to hear him, they heard him yell, "Bring me to the ilKhan, I must see him!".[1]
Ethan, after being retrieved from the rock with an helicopter, joined Clan Goliath Scorpion, becoming their Loremaster, and for this, they considered the spire to be sacred.
Alpha Galaxy used the formation as symbol, in part because the unit was traditionally assigned honor guard duty to protect Moreau's Dagger. Some warriors even attempt to climb it, like Moreau, and most died falling.[2]
Long held by Clan Ice Hellion in mid 3067 Star Captain Morrigan Madsen led the Crimson Seeker Star and Eighth Scorpion Dragoons in a successful Trial of Possession for the monument and a few square kilometers surrounding it. The Trial was overseen by Clan Cloud Cobra to ensure fairness.[3][4]
