The Alliance Core was the name of one of the five provinces of the Terran Hegemony. The borders of the Core province appear to be an artifact of the 2242 Demarcation Declaration which limited the then-Terran Alliance to colonies thirty light-years from Terra.[1]

Notes

The few exceptions to the boundaries set by the Demarcation Declaration were Altair, Dieron, and Saffel which were part of Lone Star Province, and New Stevens which was in Lockdale Province. Conversely, Muphrid and Zollikofen lie just outside that boundary.
