Corwin Sandoval is the Duke of Robinson who pursued a path to increase his influence over the Draconis March due to his fear of losing power.

History

Early life

Born to Jerome Sandoval, who usurped the throne of the Draconis March from his cousin Tancred Sandoval.

Duke

Knowing that First Prince Harrison Davion had a better claim to the throne of the Draconis March than himself, he quickly began to bolster his hold onto the March by extending his influence around and inside the March. Even though Harrison showed no want to the throne of the Draconis March, that did not stop Corwin from being ever vigilant.[1]

Conflicts with the Draconis Combine

His biggest pet project was the continuation of fighting in the Draconis Reach, a grouping of ten worlds that both the Federated Suns and the Draconis Combine claimed, which was started by his father. The throne on New Avalon demanded cessation of hostilities, but since they did nothing to punish the Duke, he continued the fighting to increase his domain.[1] This culminated in Operation PELAYO.

Death

When Wolf's Dragoons led the Combine invasion of the Federated Suns in 3144, Corwin and his forces were unable to stop the onslaught. He would perish in battle during the defense of Robinson.[1]
