Kearny-Fuchida Drive

The driving force behind the initial colonization of the Inner Sphere, the Kearny-Fuchida Drive was named after the two professors who theorized of the ability to war space to allow for quick travel across all of the galaxy. Although the two scientists put forward their theories in the early-middle 21st century, their theories only became reality in the 2130s, when the first JumpShip was launched for the planet of New Earth.

The creation of the Kearny-Fuchida Drive was the only reason that extensive colonization of the Inner Sphere took place. Without it, there would not have been any BattleTech universe.
