The Marlette Association was a proto-state that would later become part of the Federated Suns.
History[edit]
The Marlette Association was founded in 2278 and over the next century would regularly war with its neighbor the Tikonov Grand Union.[3] The Association occupied Mirach, Mira, Mesartim, and Almach in a four year campaign from 2302-2306.[4] Two years later the Union, led by General Diana Chin retaliated in what became known as Diana's War. Despite several quick losses by the Association (including Mira, Mesartim, and Almach) their luck changed the next year, when Union forces got bogged down on an unknown Association world. The next year, 2309, Chin's death stalled the offensive and started a chain of events that would result in the dissolution of the Union.
In 2324 the Marlette Association formerly joined the Federated Suns, resulting in the historical enmity between the Suns and the impending Capellan Confederation.[5] The Suns and the Union would indecisively battle over Mira, Mesartim, and Almach for years. That changed in 2344 when Reynard Davion launched a final offensive against the Union that saw the recapture of those three worlds and the signing of the Acala Pact by the Capellan Hegemony and the Almach Accords by the Tikonov Grand Union which both recognized the current borders of the Federated Suns.
