Scheat has basic metal ores in its crust and rich fertile soil. As a result the world's economy is based on exporting aluminum, iron, lumber, and textiles. As one of the border worlds between the Combine and the Terran Hegemony, a small 'Mech repair plant was established on the world. During the Succession Wars the Combine quickly took the world, but raids by other Great Houses destroyed the 'Mech repair facility. With the loss of the Mech repair plant and Scheat's moderate agricultural output, Scheat was practically ignored during the Succession Wars.[1]
