Planetary History[edit]
First Succession War[edit]
Le Blanc was invaded during the initial stages of the invasion of the Federated Suns launched by the Draconis Combine in May 2787.[13] Le Blanc was then liberated by the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns in 2811 as part of the third and final major AFFS counteroffensive of the First Succession War.[15]
Second Succession War[edit]
Le Blanc's fate was forever altered when AFFS High Command relocated the headquarters of the Kentares PDZ to Le Blanc following the Kentares Massacre. The increased military and civilian shipping that arrived as a result of this move also brought an increased number of mercenaries looking for work. Though not as prominent as Galatea, the on-world mercenary trade ended after the Fourth Succession War with the Combine's "Death to Mercenaries" order.[1]
Third Succession War[edit]
Le Blanc would be attacked by Wolf's Dragoons while in the employ of the Combine in 3024. This led to a complicated incident involving the Black Widow Company, Michael Hasek-Davion, the Bounty Hunter and a family of high-tech skilled individuals.[50][51]
War of 3039[edit]
Combine agents recruited several battalions of mercenaries from this Federation held world, including ex-Combine mercenaries that had fled to Le Blanc following the Death to Mercenaries order of 3029.[52]
Dark Age[edit]
The mercenary unit Event Horizon had started to make a name for itself on Le Blanc.[53]

Geography[edit]
Basically a giant rock in space, Le Blanc was settled by miners looking for mineral wealth. Just barely enough atmosphere existed to allow the miners to breathe without a respirator. Agriculture has always been difficult on Le Blanc, with foodstuffs mostly being imported. The world's industry is limited to mining and supporting the equipment that makes mining possible. Educational opportunities are also very limited, mostly appearing on military bases.[1]
Planetary Locations[edit]
Notes[edit]
- ^ Handbook: House Davion lists Le Blanc as orbiting a G0III-class star, but an article in the later publication Shrapnel Issue 15 changes this to a G0V-class star.[1][2]
