Star League Defense Force (3151–)

The Third Star League Defense Force was created with the rise of the Third Star League. After the fall of the Republic of the Sphere, this third incarnation of the Star League would use Terra as its capital world. What information they have regarding units and military structures remains currently unknown, but it is implied that they have a blend of Inner Sphere and Clan units.

Under the leadership of Wolf Khan Alaric Ward, he and his Clan would breach the Republic of the Sphere and cause its downfall. He would later offer a Trial of Refusal to the Jade Falcon Khan, Malvina Hazen for control of Terra and the ilClanship. After being victorious, Alaric would turn Clan Wolf into the ilClan and claim the mantles of First Lord and ilKhan, making the Wolves the primary nucleus of the Reborn Star League.

Clan Smoke Jaguar

The Smoke Jaguars, despite their annihilation by the Second Star League, would survive through the leadership of Paul Moon. He and his group would fight the Blakists and pledge his people to the Republic of the Sphere during the Jihad. However soured relations between his group and the Republic would sever ties, causing Paul to propose a deal to Alaric Ward: the restoration of the Smoke Jaguars. The entire Fidelis would become bondsmen of Clan Wolf until the deed was done by defeating the Jade Falcons. Following the defeat of the Falcons, Alaric would keep his word and reconstitute Clan Smoke Jaguar with Paul Moon in attendance. The reborn Smoke Jaguar Clan would become a nonvoting Clan, bound to ilKhan Alaric.

Clan Jade Falcon
	After the Battle of Terra, Clan Jade Falcon would suffer heavy losses, leading into their defeat. Out of respect for (and playing to Elizabeth Hazen's Black Watch origins) the Jade Falcons, they were made into a bodyguard Clan mirroring the similar role of Royal Black Watch of the ancient Star League to redeem their honor that was tainted by Malvina Hazen.

Uniforms

As with the uniforms of the past, the Third Star League uses the uniforms of the original Star League Defense Force, but with minor alterations. Such as the Clan Wolf insignia on the SLDF uniform to represent their status as the ilClan. One example is Alaric Ward wearing a tailor-made Star League Army Dress Uniform with the Cameron Star and Clan Wolf insignia on the collar.

Ranks

The Third Star League uses a combination of Clan and traditional Star League ranks as a part of their structure.
