Colonel Veronica St. Martin was the commander of the VII Triarii Protectors, with the Republic of the Sphere and later the Republic Remnant, from at least 3132 to 3145.[1][2]

At the time of the Blackout the VII Triarii were on a tour of their Prefecture, and therefore found themselves on Kalidasa, cut off from their command and usual homeworld of Irian. Staying put through 3132 in the hope HPG communications would be restored, by the end of that year Colonel St. Martin finally decided not to return to Irian, but instead reinforce the Republic's border with the Marik-Stewart Commonwealth in response to reports of increased activity. Garrisoning Alkes, New Home and Stewart, St. Martin dug in through 3133 and 3134 awaiting an invasion which never came, before finally becoming impatient and starting on the journey back to Irian. Her timing was decidedly poor however, with the Marik-Stewart incursion beginning just a month after the VII Triarii's departure, and a blown JumpShip helium seal in the Remulac system delaying their arrival in Irian until it too had already been lost to the Republic.
When Jonah Levin called the Triarii to pull back into Fortress Republic, St. Martin instead decided to remain outside The Wall, and join Damien Redburn's Remnant instead.[2] In this capacity, as of 3145, St. Martin and the VII Triarii were based on Marcus and Callison.[1]
