Planet History
Succession Wars
Von Strang's World was original a Rim Worlds Republican world by different name. Due to the chaos of fall of the Republic and soon to follow Succession Wars, original name was lost.
Shortly after the Rim Worlds Republic's post-Amaris government was shattered in 2775, what was left of the Republic shattered by Lyran Commonwealth. The planet rallying point for number of refugees fleeting results of the Republic-Commonwealth War. Among these refugees were Amaris strongmen and Amaris loyalist. Among these strongmen, was man named Baron Nico Von Strang. He conquered the planet and renamed it for himself. Baron Von Strang's then made it the capital his one system periphery kingdom known as Barony of Strang.[5]
Clan Invasion of 3049
Prior to the Clans launching their invasion, it was discovered the periphery contained world named after League era villain. Von Strang's World's namesake had been was considered inhumane criminal of the Amaris's army, was among the last killed fleeing Terra. It was hoped that the Clans could seek revenge on Colonel Gunthar Von Strang's descendants. Clan Jade Falcon won bid to take Von Strang's World, lead by its senior Khan Elias Crichell. When they arrived in the system in 3049, where Falcon's hopes were realized. They issued batchcall to planet, to receive back rebuke from its ruler Stepan Von Strang. Khan Crichell's forces landed on planet after fending off Barony's aerospace forces. The Khan and his Turkina Keshik found that Barony's Guard Division was formidable and well prepared for invasion. The Falcon forces were led astray and slowed down by Amaris City's well-armed fortifications and cul-de-sacs traps in city's valley. After Falcon's forces penetrated and disabled city's fortifications, they pushed ahead into the city.
Were nearly out maneuvered by Baron's forces when Falcon's recon fighter happen to see Barony's 'Mech and tank forces attempt flank Khan's 'Mech forces. 'Mech and Elemental forces were able to over come the Guard Divisions' forces. Khan single handily killed Baron Stepan in one-on-one duel between their 'mechs. Afterwards, city was renamed Unity City as slap to population's pro-Amaris descendants. Then hoisted their late leader onto flag pole at his palace with Star League and Falcon's banners on it.[6]
Ice Hellion Invasion
During the Jihad, Clan Ice Hellion launched its military campaign to capture Clan Jade Falcon worlds. In September of 3071, the elements of the Ice Hellion's Beta Galaxy swiftly took planet from its Jade Falcon defenders. However, in November, elements of Clan Hell's Horses' Iota & Theta Galaxies over powered Ice Hellion garrison forces and took control of planet.[7]
