System Description
The Bossangoa system is located near the Ceiba and Linden systems.[1]
System History
The Bossangoa system was either settled during the Star League era at some point after the end of the Reunification War or was an already-settled system that became significant enough to cause Inner Sphere nations to record its location.[2][1] Bossangoa vanished from maps during the First Succession War;[3][4][5] in many ways, Bossangoa's fate was typical of that of many Periphery colonies in the First Succession War. The Periphery Uprising reduced trade from the Inner Sphere significantly, something that the Amaris Civil War further curtailed. When the First Succession War erupted, trade from the Great Houses stopped, as each devoted their economies to the war efforts, and the independent traders still trading in the Periphery were able to pick up just a tiny fraction of the volume of trade many systems depended on. Bossangoa, like so many Periphery worlds, died for want of a SL$5 anti-viral or a simple widget, something that had been commonly available during the Star League era.[6]
