Planetary Info

Unlike most Lyran worlds, Buena was settled by Italian and Spanish settlers. The climate is also reminiscent of Terra's Mediterranean region, with many semi-tropical islands. These islands and other terrain features make it a good site for the Buena War College.[1]

Planetary History

On the 14th of February 3081 following the formal dissolution of the Buena Archonette the authority the Archonette had over local Lyran Alliance Armed Forces returned to the central Lyran government, and Buena was established as the new capital of the Alarion Province of the Lyran Alliance.[35] Despite the capital of the Province moving to Buena, the Province would continue to be known as the Alarion Province at least until the early 32nd century.[34]

Reunification War

Buena was located on the Lyran Commonwealth's border with the Rim Worlds Republic. During the Reunification War Canal was hit by raiders from the Rim Worlds Republic, but they were easily driven off.[36]
