Candent "Sep" Septarian was an officer in the AFFC. She would go on to marry Ardan Sortek.[1]

As of 3025, Candent Septarian was a MechWarrior piloting a Warhammer[2] in the Davion Brigade of Guards, and was friends with Ardan Sortek.
In the recapture of Stein's Folly, Ardan Sortek was wounded, captured, and became an unreliable witness to strange things (seeing a doppelgänger of Hanse Davion) before being rescued by friendly forces. Because he was a confidant of First Prince Hanse Davion and deemed in a mentally unstable state, he was then sent away to Tharkad for recuperation where he convinced Archon Katrina Steiner and Melissa Steiner that something was afoot. The Steiners borrowed Sortek a JumpShip, and he in turn contacted three friends on New Avalon: Candent Septarian, Ref Handrikan, and Jarlik.
