''Historical: Operation Klondike is Catalyst Game Labs sourcebook that outlines events that happened to General Aleksandr Kerensky's Exodus fleet after leaving the Inner Sphere. The history outlines the Exodus fleet's journey to the Deep Periphery and its colonization efforts in the in the Pentagon Cluster. The book provides accounts on important historical characters, events, and opposing factions that help shape the formation of the Clans. In later sections, the book focuses on the Clans' campaign to retake the worlds lost to the rebellious factions that rose from the ashes of the Star League in Exile.

In the wake of the Star League’s collapse, Aleksandr Kerensky led the bulk of the SLDF into deep space to escape the inevitable Succession Wars. But war soon came to the “Star League in Exile” anyway, prompting General Kerensky’s son Nicholas to form a new society, based on the principles of honor and strength. Fifteen years later, the newborn Clans were unleashed against those who abandoned Kerensky’s vision.
