Description

The Minsk is a early Clan Heavy BattleMech, which was once utilized by Clan Ghost Bear and the was it's first official BattleMech which was produced by the Clan.[3] shaped not unlike the ancient Hammerhands designs, with barrel-like arms with ballistic weaponry. While not alot of operational history is known about the Mech, it's best known use was for the the Ghost Bears's assault to claim the Tokasha MechWorks Alpha factory in 2921.[4]

Weapons and Equipment

The Heavy Mech was built with a mix of newly Developed Clan technologies as well as some equipment still remaining from the Star League Defense Force era. Constructed around Endosteel skeleton, the seventy ton Mech is intended to be a generalist combat machine. The Minsk is not fast, with only a 54 kph maximum speed its Fusion engine allows. The Mech's hull is meant to endure the storm of battle with its thick Ferro-Fibrous Armor with Clan CASE deployed throughout the Mech.

A Minsk uses exclusively ammunition dependant weaponry for its arsenal of Clan tech weaponry. The Mech's main source of firepower comes from in the form of a pair of Gauss Rifles with three tons of ammunition. Also assist at long ranges is a Left torso mounted Ten-Tube Long Range Missile Launcher with two tons of ammunition For short ranges, the MechWarrior would have available a pair of 6-Tubed Short Range Missile Launchers found in the torso with two tons ammunition to feed them. Also in short range combat, a pair of Small Pulse Lasers rounds out the Mech's anti-Mech & Vehicle weaponry. A pair of torso mounted Machine guns gives pilot means to destroy infantry troops that decide get in its way.

The Minsk also is fitted with antique Beagle Active Probe.[5]

Notes

  • As of this writing, there is no official art work other than unseen silhouette of a Classic Warhammer created for the Combat Manual: Mercenaries but its details blacked out.
