Description

The Orca was previously known as a joke; the super-heavy BattleMech allegedly built and deployed by Clan Wolverine, the not-named Clan, but in fact is was constructed as a supersecret project, by 3091. It's development was a total secrecy, that even 'an unfortunate delivery driverwho slipped through security due to a lapse was caught filming a livefire test with his personal device', being released from custody 5 years later, because he want to do 'something to show his kids'.

The prototype was created haphazardly, thus include some incrinistic flaws, like the very difficult control. With suboptimal production standards, it was decided to mothball all prototypes in still-classified locations.

Canonicity

The basis for OC-1X was a April Joke Mech, which bears the name "Orca". With 'Technical Readout: 3145 Republic of the Sphere', it's name was semi-canonized, and with 'Experimental Technical Readout: Republic, Volume 2', the Orca is now fully canon.
