The title of President was established in 2599 for the Rim Worlds Republic leader after Gregory Amaris' reign. The earlier title, First Consul, was however sometimes still used.[1]

- Selanta Amaris was a baby in 2622 and wasn't officially sworn in as president until she was nineteen years of age, around 2639. In the interim, the Republic was ruled by a triumvirate of Protectors.[2]
- Commanding General Aleksandr Kerensky and the Star League Defense Force recognized President Lucien Dormax and the Rift Republican Army as the legitimate government of the Rim Worlds Republic in early 2770. At the end of the Republic-Commonwealth War, the Republic shattered with the fall of Apollo in September 2775.[5] Stefan Amaris was at this point the Emperor of the Amaris Empire, which remained until the end of 2779.[6]
