Unit Description
The 44th Division, Avitue's Avenging Angels, was elite "hidden" military formation of the Word of Blake. The Division was staffed with cybernetics enhanced warriors named Manei Domini. The unit noted for its notorious actions during the Third Battle of New Avalon.
History
The elements of unit first appeared in first major action in 3072. When it was reportively seen in action conqueroring Yunnah with its leader, Precentor Avitue in command. However, other elements of the command have been use since 3068, where they seen assisting special ops groups such as Opacus Venatori thoughout Inner Sphere.
In late 3072, the unit was deployed to New Avalon where it linked up with remains of the 31st & 37th Divisions attempt to finally consolidate control of the Federated Suns capital world. The Division's arrive on orders from Word of Blake's high command, reportively prevented the use of nuclear weaponry and other weapons of mass destruction.[1]
The early 3073, 44th help fight for a narrow victory in Third Battle for New Avalon. Precentor Geoffrey Zucker of the 36th Division coordinated Blakist forces, while Spector Precentor Avitue lead her force that resulted in the death of Marshal of Armies Jackson Davion.
The Division and its allies manage to secure Mount Davion and ruins of Avalon City.
However, year later it Word of Blake order to withdraw finding planet unsecure able. The 44th Division fought off Davion Heavy Guard and remains of AFFS forces on planet as they leave the planet. The Division drops napalm and fuel-air-explosives onto Mount Davion and ruins of the city. The bombing causes Mount Davion to collapse and city burn.[2]

As of 3075, the Forty-Fourth was commanded by Specter Precentor Avitue.

Game Notes
The Avitue's Avenging Angels receives a +1 to its inititive when fighting on mountainous and urban terrian. Opposing forces need to apply a +1 to the to-hit modifiers when shooting at any unit of the 44th.
The Avenging Angels will trained to avert damage to civilian structures and harming noncombants. Any Avenging Angel will no fire while any civilan structure not occupied by anemy in that respective turn. Infantry units of the Division will not moved into Civilian structure unless occupied by enemy.[3]
