History

As at 3061 the York-class destroyer Corvidae was a WarShip within the Clan Snow Raven touman and was serving as the CSR Corvidae, one of ten WarShips that made up the Lum Garrison Fleet. Paired with the Whirlwind-class destroyer CSR Drake the Corvidae was serving as a reserve vessel, operating alongside the ships of the Fleet Command Star.[1]

The Corvidae continued to serve in the Lum Garrison Fleet until at least 3067, operating alongside two other destroyers - the Lola III-class CSR Bloody Talon and the Drake - as well as the Sovetskii Soyuz-class heavy cruiser CSR Avalanche, the Aegis-class heavy cruisers CSR Morning Violence and CSR Scabbard, the Potemkin-class cruisers CSR Bonaventure and CSR Eden Rose and the Vincent-class corvette CSR Huninn.[2]

During the Wars of Reaving the Corvidae was one of the escort vessels for the last major Snow Raven convoy to leave the Clan Homeworlds for the Outworlds Alliance. Of the fifty Snow Raven JumpShips that had originally been intended to be a part of this last convoy, only twenty-two survived to make it to Quatre Belle in the Outworlds Alliance, escorted by an ad hoc star of damaged vessels which in addition to the Corvidae included the Aegis-class heavy cruiser CSR Lord Death, the Whirlwind-class destroyers Drake and [[CSR William Adams, the Congress-class frigate CSR Magpie and the Vincent-class corvette CSR Munnin. The Snow Ravens would subsequently blame the losses taken and damage suffered on bandits when talking to their new allies in the Outworlds Alliance.[3]

During the Jihad the CSR Corvidae served as a part of Task Force CRONUS, the predominantly Clan-based naval force responsible for capturing the Titan Yards in 3078 as a part of the allied coalition efforts to liberate Terra from the Word of Blake. The Corvidae was destroyed by swarms of Caspar drones during the battle for the Yards.[4]
