The title of Duke (or Duchess) of Al Na'ir is granted to the noble ruler of the world Al Na'ir.

In 3057, Coordinator Theodore Kurita moved to use more traditional Japanese terms for nobility so the Duke of Al Na'ir is also known as Shogun of Al Na'ir. The term Shogun is used for formal and ceremonial events while the term Duke/Duchess is used in more common situations.[1][2]
