Description
Code named the Uller after the norse god of archery by the Inner Sphere forces that first encountered this OmniMech, likely for the 'Mechs ability to strike ar long ranges with most of its configurations, the Kit Fox is a powerful light OmniMech fielded primarily by Clan Jade Falcon. The Kit Fox is built on a lightweight Endo Steel chassis and ias powered by a 180 XL engine that gives the 'Mech a top speed of 97.2 km/h. The Kit Fox has ten double heat sinks on its base chassis that dissipate the 'Mechs waste heat. If more heat sinks are needed they can simply be added in the Kit Foxs alternate configurations. For protection from enemy fire the Kit Fox has four tons of Ferro-Fibrous armor which provides excellent protection for its weight.
Armament
In its primary configuration the Kit Fox has an ER Large Laser and a LB-X Autocannon/5 both of which are capable of striking a target at long ranges. The LB-X Autocannon/5 has the added benefit of being able to fire both standard rounds and cluster rounds which are capable of finding holes in an enemy's armor and possibly damageing internal components. For close range combar the Kit Fox has a Streak SRM-4 launcher anf a highly accurate Small Pulse Laser
Alternate Configurations
- Alt. Config. A - The Alpha configuration of the Kit Fox carries a Gauss Rifle for long range striking power which is supported by two ER Medium Lasers for close range defense. BV (1.0) = 1,218
- Alt. Config. B - Also intended for long range combat the Bravo configuration of the Kit Fox is armed with an Ulra Autocannon/10 that is capable of firing at up to two times the rate as a standard autocannon giving the 'Mech the long range punch of much heavier 'Mechs. To finish off an oponent if they do close with the Kit Fox it has a single SRM-6 backed up by an ER Medium Laser and a ER Small Laser. BV (1.0) = 1,016
- Alt. Config. C - More of a scout configuration then a sniper as commonly seen the Charlie configuration of the Kit Fox is armed with a single ER Large Laser for long range combat. This configurations long range capabilities end there. For close range defense the Kit Fox Charlie has a Small Pulse Laser, two Machine Guns and two A-Pods makign it highly effective at protecting itself from infantry. This configuration also carries three Anti-Missile Systems to protect itself from missile fire and uses a ECM Suite for protectionf rom enemy electronic warfare systems while scouting with its Active Probe. - Alt. Config. D - A long range bombardment configurationt he Delta Configuration of the Kit Fox is armed with two LRM-15 launchers and a single LRM-5 launcher. This configuration also carries a Narc Missile Beacon takign advantage of the lack of a minimum range on clan LRM launchers allowing the Kit Fox to move in and mark a target with a beacon for increased accuracy them move back to a safe range while keeuping up fire the entire time. - Alt. Config. E - Taking advantage of the new Advanced Tactical Missile system the Echo configuration of the Kit Fox is armed with an ER PPC as its primary weapon and for close range combat carries an ER Small Laser. The 'Mech has an ATM-3 launcher which can fire missiles for short, medium, and long ranges with increasing amounts of damage ability as ranges close. The Echo configuration als has added mobility with six jump jets which alow ti to jump up to one hundred and eighty meters. BV (1.0) = 1,520
- Alt. Config. H - Similar to the Alpha Configuration the Hotel configuration of the Kit Fox carries a Gauss Rifle for long range combat. For close range comabt though the 'Mech has two Heavy Medium Lasers which can each do twice as much damage as a standard Medium Laser with the same range profile. BV (1.0) = 1,122
- Alt. Config. S - Intended for fast paced urban combat the Sierra configuration of the Kit Fox has six jump jets allowing the MechWarrior to jump in and out of combat situations and dictate the terms under which it will fight. The 'mechs primary weapon is a single Large Pulse Laser. This is backed up by a Medium Pulse Laser and Small Pulse Laser as well as a Streak SRM-4 for anti-Mech and vehicle firepower.
