The Colfax system was home to at least one habitable world or construct and as at 3145 was located in the Wolf Empire.[1][2]

System Description[edit]

The Colfax system is located near the Cascade and Loric systems.[1][2]

System History[edit]

The Colfax system was colonized during the First Exodus from Terra[3] and by the end of the Age of War had been incorporated into the Free Worlds League.[4]

Political Affiliation[edit]

Planetary History[edit]

Colfax was one of the targets of the Skye and Bolan Province invasion of the Free Worlds League in March 3068. The invasion by the combined forces of the two Province, named Operation ÜBERSCHATTEN, saw Colfax occupied along with the worlds of Pingree, Sheridan and Thermopolis by the 30th of March 3068. When Marshall Jeremy Brett assumed control of the local FWLM forces and launched Operation BROKEN FIST, the Free Worlds League counterattack against the invading Lyran forces, Colfax was one of his first targets, and the FWLM recaptured the world on the 2nd of July.[23]

Following the dissolution of the Free Worlds League in January 3079, elements within the Lyran Alliance moved to annex a number of former League worlds between August and September that year. Colfax was one of seven worlds conquered during this period, and the invasion only stopped when Archon Adam Steiner declared that any other bouts of what he termed "unauthorised adventurism" would be considered an act of treason.[25]
