Able's Glory
System Information
X:Y Coordinates-539.26:124.66[e]

The Able's Glory system is the location of at least one inhabited planet of the same name and as at 3145 is located within the borders of the Periphery state known as the Rim Collection.[1]

System Description

Able's Glory is located between Hunter's Paradise and Gillfillan's Gold and appeared on maps at some point between the end of the FedCom Civil War and the Dark Age.[2][3]

System History

The Dark Age

The nearby Rim Collection formally claimed the Hunter's Paradise system in 3099, and went on to settle the nearby system of Able's Glory to provide a base for servicing transitting JumpShips and providing security for travelling researchers.[1]

Planetary History

The Dark Age

The combination of formally laying claim to Hunter's Paradise, incorporating it into the Collection and settling the Able's Glory system plunged the small state into debt, prompting the worlds of Caldarium and Slewis to secede from the Collection. Despite the loss of these two systems the development of both Hunter's Paradise and Able's Glory proved to be an economic boon in the longer term. Able's Glory was named after Colonel Frank Able, the commanding officer of Able's Aces and a beloved figure in the Rim Collection at that point, and proved to have immense reserves of germanium - germanium that the Collection went on to trade extensively with the Lyran Commonwealth.[1] Following the colonization of Able's Glory Able's Aces went on to open a manufacturing company producing military grade equipment on the planet; the company was named Able's Hunting Arms, Ltd - abbreviated simply to AHA - and produced various grades of arms and ammunition ranging from personal weapons to BattleMech-grade autocannons and machine guns. While the products made by AHA were allegedly produced for self-defense purposes for those visiting Hunter's Paradise, the majority of the output produced by AHA was purchased by the Collection's only BattleMech-manufacturing company, Rim Motors.[4]
