The Carlisle system was the location of at least one habitable world, Carlisle III, and as of 3145 was located in the Buena Province of the Lyran Commonwealth.[3][4]

System Description

The Carlisle system is located close to the Stellaris and Zaprudy systems[5][6] and consisted of a class K1V primary orbited by at least three planets.[1][2]

System History

The Carlisle system was colonized at some point during or shortly before the Age of War, and by the end of the Age of War was a member of the Lyran Commonwealth.[7][8]

Planetary Info

The colonists who settled Carlisle were largely of German of Slovakian origin, and throughout the inhabited history of Carlisle the two most popular languages on the planet were German and Czech. A largely peaceful and well-industrialized planet with a terrestrial climate, Carlisle was home to a large planetary militia as well as supplemental defense forces controlled by the owners of the factories located on the planet.[1] At least two significant defense contractors constructed factories on Carlisle, including the Bowie Industries plant located near the city of Brinnonsburg[9] and the S. L. Lewis Incorporated plant located near Trumbull.[10]

While the population of Carlisle maintained a pro-peace attitude common to the other worlds of the Alarion Province for much of their history, the population was also a supporter of the Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces and latterly the Lyran Alliance Armed Forces.[1]
