A secondary concern for the Ghost Bears, as with many Clans, WarShips are considered a necessary evil used to protect key worlds, JumpShips, and DropShips from dishonorable foes or bandits. Though they have a limited ability to attain individual honor, the Ghost Bears' concept of family give their WarShip crews better performance compared to those of other Clans. The smaller numbers of WarShips for a Clan of their size nevertheless allowed them to relocate to the Inner Sphere, owed to the large transport capability attained during the refitting of the Leviathan-class.[1] While the First Combine War and the Jihad cost the Clan as a whole, the Naval Reserve continues to the current day as the WarShips serve the needs of the Rasalhague Dominion.
