The Doneval system was home to at least one habitable world, Doneval II, and as of 3151 was located in the Robinson Operational Area of the Draconis March within the Federated Suns.[1]

Doneval is located near the Dobson and Le Blanc systems.[2][3]

The Doneval system was colonized during First Exodus from Terra.[4]

Planetary History[edit]

First Succession War[edit]

Doneval was invaded during the first half of the major invasion into the Federated Suns launched by the Draconis Combine in May 2787.[15] Doneval II was liberated by the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns in 2811 as part of the third and final major AFFS counteroffensive of the First Succession War against the Draconis Combine.[18] Among the DCMS regiments forced to retreat from Doneval was the Second Arkab Legion.[52]

Third Succession War[edit]

The Black Widow Company raided Doneval II in 3021 during their contract to House Kurita, and faced the Cadet Corps from the Meistmorn Academy.[53]

FedCom Civil War[edit]

In 3062, a company of Draconis Combine BattleMechs dropped onto Doneval II from civilian DropShips. These DropShips left the system immediately after the drop, leaving the company behind. The company of BattleMechs spent several days destroying civilian targets like power stations and transmission lines before the planetary militia could respond. When the militia did respond, the Combine raiders turned their attention to manufacturing and military installations. Despite their best efforts, the Combine raiding party really didn't inflict much damage to Doneval II's infrastructure. Their biggest effect was in priming the citizenry of the Draconis March for an assault on the Combine.[54]
