In 2604 the pirate band known as the Red Raiders attempted to raid Memphis. The raid was unsuccessful, and the Raiders lost three BattleMechs as a result - resources they couldn't afford to lose. During the journey back to Tortuga Prime, the leader of the Red Raiders and ruler of the Tortuga Dominions, Major Frederick "Krasny" Kolonov, would be challenged and killed by one of his subordinates as a consequence of the failed raid.[33]
