History
Formation
Formed around the 139th Striker Cluster as a unit that can fight with Inner Sphere tactics, Omega Galaxy has a large percentage of Assault class 'Mechs.[citation needed]
Ghost Bear/Combine War
The units of Omega Galaxy fought DCMS troops on Schuyler and Meilen and then faced off against Clan Nova Cat forces on Yamarovka. The Tenth Cuirassiers landed on Yamarovka hoping to destroy the last of the Alshain Avengers units, but the Nova Cat's Zeta Galaxy beat them to the punch. When Zeta Galaxy departed the world before even offering token resistance to the Tenth Cuirassiers, the enraged Ghost Bear unit hit several Nova Cat worlds. By employing tactics used by Inner Sphere forces rather than zellbrigen, the Tenth rapidly took several worlds from the Nova Cats.[1]
Jihad
Luthien
On Luthien in December 3074, expecting to face Word of Blake forces, instead, they were attacked by the Black Dragon's 6th Benjamin and 40th Dieron Regulars. Though Omega Galaxy devastated both rebel formations, Galaxy Commander Ortiz had to compensate for her malcontent warriors, who wanted to concentrate on the Blakist forces.[2]
Dyev
After landing on Dyev during a wave of attacks against worlds in the Word of Blake Protectorate in July 3076,[3][4] Omega Galaxy found itself facing a Blakist counteroffensive in December when a task force breached the blockade of Ghost Bear and Snow Raven ships in orbit and landed six Divisions of troops on the surface of Dyev. The Blakists landed around Trogport and the planetary capital, Novaya Mensk, before deploying outwards. Omega Galaxy found itself fighting alongside Alpha Galaxy against the 28th Militia Division and the 3rd Bryant and 1st Lipton Protectorate Militia Divisions; the Blakists used the Tupik Chasm and various mining tunnel complexes that connected to the chasm as fortifications to try and resist the Ghost Bear attack.[5] History records that the 32nd Militia Division was subsequently destroyed on Dyev before the end of 3076.[6]
Dieron
When they landed on Dieron in 3077, Omega Galaxy was at approximately 50% strength from fighting on Dyev. Khan Kabrinski held them back as a reserve unit on Dieron. Involved in a horrific firefight around the Ghost Bear's main drop zone Omega Galaxy managed to hold off multiple Protectorate Militia units for a week. Once Alpha Galaxy reinforced Omega Galaxy the Protectorate forces were destroyed. Unfortunately the conflict devastated Omega Galaxy. Only two Clusters survived the encounter. They were integrated into Beta Galaxy to make up losses in that formation.[7]
Dark Age

In 3136 Omega Galaxy found itself on a relief mission to aid the planet Vega.[8]
