Operation THUNDERSTRIKE

Operation: Thunderstrike - Capellan Confederation military counter-attack campaign conducted between the time of October, 3068 to April 1st, 3070. The operation was counter-invasion to repel Federated Suns renegade Capellan March's military forces from St. Ives Commonality and strike revenge for at time seemly kill Chancellor Sun Tzu Liao and Duchess Candace Allard-Liao.

Operation Brief

In June, 3068 - Duke George Hasek launched his ambition campaign against the Confederation named Operation: Sovereign Justice. His campaign sliced through the Confederation and effectively captured St. Ives Commonality and number other worlds.

After the Orbital strike against Sian's Forbidden City in October 3068. With Imperial Palace ruins, no sign of the Chancellor, Sang-jiang-jun Talon Zahn declared himself regent of the Confederacy and launched his own campaign. He position was bolistered by anti-Federated Suns seniments that accured in occupated ares of St. Ives Commonality. Specialy after the reports that Sian was attacked by Davion Warship and it was responsible for the death of their beloved Duchess.

He divided his forces into three Task Forces. Named Task Forces Sheng Lung, Light Horse and Vengeance. These three Task Forces, and supportive efforts are listed in following sections. These Task forces served as three prong attacks for Zahn's efforts into the FedSuns. In order to form up these Task Forces, he conducted a first Wave to tie up FedSun forces.

Known military forces whom are list per their Task forces they were assigned after the Second Wave and independant force.

Task Force Sheng Lung

Task Force's Primary pathway was to cut through Capellan March itself from Liao downward to New Syrtis.

Task Force's primary pathway from center of the St Ives Commonality and on "south-east" appoarch to New Syrtis.

Task Force Vengeance

The primary pathway the Task Force assigned to take was to depart Victoria Commonality, into belly of Capellan March, ultimately cutting upwards from Pleiades Cluster attacking New Syrtis from "southern".

First Wave

The CCAF organized existing forces engaged or nearby to fight delaying battles while formaly TF were assembled. The Wave starting date being October, 3068. These action accured in three prong.

First Prong

On Randar, The Holdfast Guards engaged and nearly wiped out the 20th Avalon Hussars, killing its commander General Randal Hasek-Bills. It had been supported by newly refitted Feng Huang Class Cruiser, CCS Ilsa Hyung. With only company in strength remaining, the 20th Avalons retreated to world of Bethel.

On Aldertaine, the 5th MAC fights brutal battle for control of the planet. It successfully pushes off the 5th Crucis Lancers world. The Remshield's Dragoons and Warrior House Immarra attacked and liberated Hexare. Both units shattered forced Davion mercenary force, 4th Illician Lancers to withdraw from the world.

The most noted battle in the First Wave was battle for Ares, where reported the 4th MAC had never given up the planet. The Davion forces had not gained upper hand against the MAC. It wasn't until word of the death of Duchess Candice Allard-Liao did battle turn in this brutal conflict. With its beloved Duchess dead, the Free Capellan Blackwind Lancers turned on the its allies, 5th Syrtis Fusiliers and nearly wiped out the unit (85% worth of loses), along with its commander, General Serena Thomas-Hasek.

Second Prong

In the second prong, CCAF forces struck worlds such as Glasgow and Overton. New Westin, was most noted for Death Commandos & 5th CRC utterly destroying the Free Capellan forces of Jie Fang Legion. On Overton, Capellan Forces force FedSun forces pull of planet, but not before annilihating 15th Dracon and its companion force of Warrior House Ijori. However its survivors Ijori were able holf field to force the First Federated Sun Lancers from the planet.

Third Prong

The 3rd prong of CCAF forces attacked FedSun forces on Halloran V, Housekarle, Liao, and Homestead. On Necromo, the CCAF forces failed retake world back from Hasek's Khorsakov’s Cossacks and 2nd CRC took considerable amount of damages from attempt.

Second Wave

On October 20th, 3068 2nd Wave began; Task Forces (TFs) were now had come together and begun the Capellan offensive into FedSuns. Task Forces had assembled from worlds of Menke, Zanzibar, and Victoria.

The TF Light Horse struck worlds of St. Ives Commonality. Hitting worlds held by Davion forces such as Teng, No Return, and St. Ives. While TF Shen Lung arrived on Almach and hammered the Davion invaders. TF Vengeance moved towards the border, hitting like other TF at Davion supply lines making sure they were certifly cut off from Suns.

Task Force Shen Lung arrived on Valexa where they destroyed the Valexa CMM. Task Force Light Horse arrives on St. Ives, and engages in several week battle for the planet.

Supportive Actions

The Third MAC moves to capture Tallin, while for mysterious reasons the Word of Blake forces attack and capture Kittery. The 13th Division, eliminates both Kittery Borderers and the Kittery Training Battalion on planet.
