History
The Vision of Truth was a Potemkin-class WarShip maintained by ComStar. In 3062 she was a part of the Com Guard First Fleet, operating from the ComStar fleet base at Luyten 68-28.[1]
While enroute to the Tukayyid system the Vision of Truth suffered a mainspace fire following a reactor explosion on 19 April 3065. It is unknown if the true reason for the explosion (sabotage) was discovered; in any case, the perpetrator remained unknown.[2]
The ship remained in service with ComStar as of 3067.[3]
The Vision of Truth took part in Case White, ComStar's ill-fated attack on Terra, in March 3068. During this operation, the ComStar ships suffered from treachery and sabotage. Notes
- All ComStar WarShips that had participated in Case White, save for the Invisible Truth, were listed missing and presumed destroyed,[4] although the Word of Blake were later discovered to have salvaged and restored the Congress-class frigate Hollings York and the Aegis-class heavy cruiser Righteous Fury to active service in their fleet by 3076[6] and a further three former ComStar WarShips - the Essex-class destroyer WoBS Deathblow, the Dante-class frigate WoBS Narbonne and the Suffren-class destroyer WoBS Manchester - were all undergoing repairs and operational enough to participate in the Blakist defense of Terra in 3078.[8]
