Aide-de-camp[edit]
During Clan Jade Falcon's Desant on the Republic of the Sphere in 3134, Pryde was a Star Captain, acting as aide-de-camp to Delta Galaxy's CO Galaxy Commander Malvina Hazen. On Skye on 14 August 3134, Pryde formed part of the Circle of Equals for the Trial of Refusal between Malvina and her sibmate Aleksandr Hazen over the proposed use by Malvina of orbital bombardment in accordance with her Mongol Doctrine, which Aleksandr eventually won.[2] The next day Pryde participated in the fighting against Skye's Republic defenders while a part of Malvina Hazen's Star, destroying a Northwind Fusiliers Shandra Advanced Scout Vehicle, before his own 'Mech was brought down by an enemy SM1 Tank Destroyer.[3]
Gamma Galaxy[edit]
As of January 3148, Matthias Pryde had been newly appointed as a Galaxy Commander in charge of Gamma Galaxy, which had formerly been headed by Galaxy Commander Jane Thastus. While on Upano he was summoned by the now Khan Malvina Hazen unprompted, to Pryde's great nervousness. During their meeting Hazen tested Pryde regarding her plans for the Traditionalist Galaxy Commander Stephanie Chistu, who did not support Hazen's Mongol Doctrine.[1] By 3151 and the Battle of Terra however, Pryde was no longer in charge of Gamma Galaxy, which for reasons unknown has been returned to the command of Jane Thastus.[4][5]
