History

Formed in 2867 the Second was created as an assault force, and has always fielded the heaviest machines possible. During a massive battle on Dromini IV, the Second served as the cornerstone of all defensive operations. The fight took a heavy toll on the unit.[2]

Since the beginning of the 30th Century the unit worked for the Federated Suns, mainly on the Liao border. In 3050 they were stationed on Cohay.[3]

Jihad and destruction

The Dismal Disinherited joined the Allied Mercenary Command in 3067.[4]

The Second were stationed on Tall Trees in 3067[5], but following the attack on Wolf's Dragoons on Outreach by rogue mercenaries linked to the Word of Blake, the Second moved to Outreach, arriving in November.[6]

During the assault on Mars, the Second dropped alongside Zeta Battalion, and their aerospace assets guarded the raiding forces.[7] Much of the Second was destroyed in orbit by Blakist WarShips.[8]

Captain Alfie Walker, company commander of the Second Dismal Disinherited, remained in a hospital on Outreach.[9] He remained on planet during the earlier stages of the Jihad, leading a part of the Dragoon's resistance, before being evacuated with his people. He was the only confirmed survivor of his unit.[10]
