Planetary Info
Dalton's most famous resident is Hilda Lauber, the first wife of Janos Marik. The Dalton government goes to great lengths to reward good work in every field. As a result no one is bitter and there is little discontent. The only downside to this is the lack of support for the arts; The residents of Dalton think there's no way to evaluate the work while the author is alive. Artists and writers tend to leave and go to other worlds where their work is appreciated.[1]
In the six hundred years that Dalton's been settled there have been no earthquakes. This is unique as the first probe that landed on the world in 2310 found a lot of seismic activity. Two hundred years later (in 2521) another probe detected no seismic activity.[1]
