History
As of 3059, Iota Galaxy holds the Spinward section of the Jade Falcon Occupation Zone. They weren't able to meet all of their defensive needs in 3067, as several Clusters were understrength. Another, the Seventy-third Striker Cluster, was soundly defeated by the Blue Star Irregulars and found itself demoted to second-line status for its poor performance, including the loss of a WarShip.[1]
In June 3069 elements of Iota faced the 1st Kell Hounds on Graceland. The Falcons killed Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Allard in this engagement.[2]
In 3074 or early 3075 Iota Galaxy launched an attack on the Lyran Alliance world of Zanderij. Zanderij was garrisoned by mercenary units at the time: themselves engaging three mercenary units: Greenburg's Godzillas, the Tooth of Ymir and Thor's Hammers. The warriors of Iota Galaxy were not affected by the Rending, and so in 3140 they were ordered to assault Melissia. Shocking observers, Iota actually took the world and secured the new border with the Lyran Commonwealth. After taking Melissia, Iota became a favorite target of raids by LCAF mercenaries. Iota was unable to respond quickly to these raids, and chose to vent their frustration on local civilian towns and infrastructure. This only hurt Iota more, as civilians began to create a resistance movement.[4]

As of 3059 the commanding officer was Galaxy Commander Gran Newclay.[1]
As of 3145 the commanding officer of Iota Galaxy was Galaxy Commander Ernest Binetti, with Star Colonel Phyllis Roshawk serving as his military aide.[5]
