Isis Bekker was the commanding officer of Omega Galaxy between 3136 and 3145.[2][3]
Mission to Vega[edit]
She led her Galaxy on a relief mission to aid Vega in 3136, invited by the Republic of the Sphere.[2]
Omega Galaxy easily destroyed the warlords but soon they found themselves fighting a guerrilla war against a constantly growing enemy and a population that grew more hostile by the day. Due to these factors, a new philosophy started growing within the Ghost Bears' ranks: the "Freeminders", who wanted their clan to join with the fully join with the people of the Inner Sphere. Galaxy Commander Isis Bekker found proof the Draconis Combine was to invade the planet and she took the only possible course of action: joining the Freeminders and marrying her lover, the Vegan temporary governor Vincent Florala. Protectorate Leader[edit]
Due to the Vega Protectorate's independent status, Omega Galaxy was starved of supplies by the Rasalhague Dominion and the little new equipment it was able to obtain consisted largely of salvage or equipment purchased from Clan Sea Fox. When the First Vega Regulars successfully fought off an invasion by the Twelfth Falcon Jaegers in 3142 they not only achieved a notable victory - they also secured valuable salvage.[6]
Whilst Omega lacked equipment, it had no problem attracting recruits amongst the Vegan population, particularly after the Dominion began shipping Freeminders into the Protectorate. Isis Bekker was also a longtime friend of Galaxy Commander James Devon, who was instrumental in negotiating the Vega Protectorate's peaceful absorption into the Rasalhague Dominion.[7]

The dawn of the IlClan Era and beginning of the Dominion Civil War initially didn't affect the Protectorate, but after Alpha Galaxy attacked Vega expecting to get rid of the Freeminders (which some Bears saw as an abomination) Isis was forced to order her Clusters to go to ground in order to preserve them. The Freeminders were only saved by the arrival of SaKhan Roy Jorgensson and Alpha Galaxy's former leader, Galaxy Commander Lars Magnusson. When Alpha Galaxy's leader was killed by Lars after having killed the SaKhan, Lars managed to reassume control of his Galaxy. Before departing, Lars left Isis as military commander of the Protectorate, making peace between the Vegan Freeminders and the rest of the Clan.[8]
