[edit] Fourth Succession War

The Twenty-first briefly participated in the Galtor campaign during 3025. They were only on the world for two weeks[1] and sustained heavy losses when they dropped into the base camp of the Lone Wolves mercenary unit.[2] The 21st would rotate off world shortly after this so Warlord Yoriyoshi could save face.[3].

The Twenty-first was one of several regiments deployed to Misery to destroy Wolf's Dragoons. Like all the units involved they took heavy losses on that world. In three weeks of fighting they lost 40% of their force.[4].

[edit] Operation Bulldog

Two battalions of the 21st Galedon Regulars moved up to garrison New Samarkand when the 5th Galedon Regulars were redeployed as part of Operation Bulldog. The remaining battalion stayed behind on Hachiman so the world wouldn't be garrisoned by only mercenary troops.[5]

[edit] Officers

  • In 3059 Tai-sa Desu Horiama commanded the 21st Galedon[7]. He remained command of the battalion on Hachiman in 3067, while Chu-sa Yung Li commanded the two battalions on New Samarkand.[8]

[edit] Tactics

The Twenty-first is best in open-field engagements where their superior mobility can be used to its best advantage.[9] They try to avoid long battles, either pushing a full assault or a fighting retreat.
