System Description[edit]

Delos is located near the Millray and Pattison systems. The system contains at least four planets and lies Spinward from Terra.[2][3][1]

System History[edit]

The Delos system was colonized at some point prior to the Reunification War.[4]

Planetary History[edit]

Third Succession War[edit]

On 11 April 3005, a large flotilla of JumpShips and DropShips entered the Delos system from the Periphery. This fleet was the first entry of Wolf's Dragoons into the Inner Sphere. Initially, the Delos government and citizens panicked thinking this was some kind of attack. However, Colonel Jaime Wolf, leader of the Dragoons, informed the planet's people of their peaceful intent and wanted to seek employment with the Federated Suns. As the Dragoons' fleet entered orbit around Delos, Colonel Wolf's message was sent to New Avalon.

Upon receiving the message, First Prince Ian Davion was skeptical. He considered this new force possibly some kind of Draconis Combine trick. However, his interest was piqued. Prince Ian would dispatch Duke William Schuler-Davion to Delos with a small aerospace force to inspect Wolf and his forces. When William arrived, he was greeted with full ceremony and courtesy. Duke William was astonished to see the hundreds of new BattleMechs, aerospace fighters, and the orbital assets controlled by the Dragoons. In an era of jury-rigged machines and Lostech, such a sight had not been seen in centuries. When Duke William enquired about where these assets came from and what was the place of the Dragoons' origin, Jaime Wolf politely declined to answer.

Duke Williams would report back to Prince Ian that the reports of Wolf's Dragoons were correct and that they did seek employment with the Federated Suns. Negotiations quickly started afterwards. Soon the Dragoons were hired and given a leasehold on New Valencia.[35]
