Planetary History[edit]

When Baron Cham Kithrong led four worlds to form the secessionist Calderon Protectorate in late 3066, Lastpost remained on the sidelines until Kithrong held a media interview in which he explained his reasons for forming the Protectorate in December of that year. The interview prompted Lastpost and three neighbouring worlds to join the Protectorate.[16] Prior to Lastpost's secession from the Concordat, the Taurians had been investigating the heavy equatorial jungle present on the world with a view to developing a pharmaceutical industry on the planet. The Protectorate picked up where the Concordat left off, in the hopes that such an industry might give them a viable source of economic growth and trade.[26]
