Owner History

Planetary History

Klathandu IV is a sparsely populated world with little arable land or industry. The infrastructure of the world is very fragile.

This planet was the scene of battle between the Black Widow Company and 3rd Guards, McKendrick's Company.[25]

In the War of 3039 Klathandu IV was taken by the 7th Crucis Lancers and the 2nd New Ivaarsen Chasseurs. Unlike most of the worlds targeted, the people of Klathandu IV overthrew the Draconis Combine government and welcomed the Federated Suns forces.[26] Ironically, when the Combine counterattacked, the people of Klathandu IV resisted the AFFS units efforts to create defensive areas. They simply didn't want war to come to their world. Unfortunately the DCMS had other ideas, and the 3rd Benjamin Regulars and 2nd Galedon Regulars arrived. The DCMS troops engaged the AFFS troops quickly, but the AFFS fought a defensive campaign. After three months of relentless combat, the DCMS units had lost three quarters of their strength and managed to turn the local population against them. Despite this, the world remained in Combine hands when the commander of the Crucis Lancers received orders to withdraw from the AFFS High Command.[27]
