Angeline Mattlov was an elite[1] Clan Jade Falcon MechWarrior and the Galaxy commander of Peregrine Galaxy.

History[edit]

Early Life[edit]

She earned the rank of Star Commander in her initial Trial of Position. Promotions arrived quickly: Her natural skills and leadership qualities prompted her commanders to make her Star Captain, then Star Colonel. To win her Bloodname, she defeated a Star Colonel David, whose face was burned due to a reactor leak, leaving him a hideous scar. Angeline was the youngest Galaxy Commander of her Clan, but long before Operation REVIVAL, she had reached the zenith of her career. She took Star Colonel Evak Mattlov under her wing, sponsoring him in his Trial of Bloodright and as her replacement leading the 4th Falcon Velites.

Operation REVIVAL[edit]

Under her watch, Peregrine Galaxy performed with distinction with notable actions on Steelton.[2]

After the battle of Tukayyid, she was considered old by Clan standards. Though well into her sixties, she still had the skill and speed of a younger warrior. She appeared to regain her former prominence in Clan Jade Falcon, but inexplicably, Khan Chistu stripped away many of her Galaxy's Clusters.[3]

Morges[edit]

In 3056, Angeline Mattlov would lead a Jade Falcon force to attack and control the planet Morges. The planet was being used by the Federated Commonwealth to launch raids into the Jade Falcon Occupation Zone. While her initial attack went well, the delaying tactics employed by the defending garrison bought enough time for reinforcement to arrive. After two day of intense fighting with the Wolf's Dragoons, 20th Arcturan Guards and 4th Skye Rangers, Angeline ordered a retreat off world.[4]

Refusal War[edit]

With the death of Natasha Kerensky and Ulric Kerensky, Phelan Ward was the last major Clan Wolf leader alive as the Refusal War drew to a close. Angeline Mattlov led the Jade Falcon assault that followed Phelan into the Lyran Alliance to annihilate the remain Clan Wolf force. She commanded the Omicron and Peregrine Galaxies in her pursuit. Meanwhile on Morges, the Wolves had regrouped with the Kell Hounds and prepared their defenses on the southern continent.

The Jade Falcons arrived in the system on 5 December 3057. Angeline Mattlov brought news of the death of both Natasha and Ulric to Phelan and his Wolf warriors, but rather than demoralize the Wolves it only inspired them to honor their memory and fight on. On 13 December, the Jade Falcons made planetfall with their entire force and the battle would rage across the snowy southern continent of Morges until 25 December, when the last Jade Falcon unit was destroyed and the Refusal War ended. Pergrine Galaxy was so disgraced in the Refusal War that it was disbanded after the conflict.[5][6][7][8][9]

BattleMechs[edit]

At Tukayyid, Angeline Mattlov used a Timber Wolf.[1] During the battle of Morges, she piloted a Dire Wolf.
