The Mercenary's Handbook: 3055 states that Brikai Buhallin was assigned to a solahma unit after his failure against the Snord's Irregulars in 3054.  However, The Falcon and the Wolf book states he was still in charge of the 8th Falcon Regulars in 3057.  There is no information on how Brikai was returned to command of the 8th and, per Clan customer, it would be highly unusual for a solahma warrior to return to an elite command. But, as The Falcon and the Wolf is a later publication than the Mercenary's Handbook: 3055 this article is written to show that he was indeed present with the 8th during the Refusal War.

Star Colonel Brikai Buhallin was a trueborn MechWarrior serving in the Jade Falcon's touman during Operation Revival and the Refusal War. He commanded the Eighth Falcon Regulars Cluster of Vau Galaxy.[1][2]

Description[edit]

Brikai Buhallin was a huge man which triggered a running joke that he was actually born to an Elemental sibko and a mix-up made him a MechWarrior by mistake.[3]

He was known to be open-minded, a rarity amongst his trueborn peers, and he fraternized with his MechWarriors and even technician-caste personnel in his command, a habit that did not sit well with his superiors, including Galaxy Commander Angeline Mattlov and Evak Mattlov of the Fourth Falcon Velites.[3]

History[edit]

Tukayyid[edit]

Brikai fought in the Battle of Tukayyid and was wounded during the fighting.[1]

Pride and Stupidity[edit]

Following their unsuccessful action on Morges against Wolf's Dragoons, the Jade Falcons staged an attack on Camelot Command in May 3054. Brikai Buhallin's Regulars and the 124th Striker Cluster, led by Star Colonel Abraham Chi-Li, were dispatched by Khan Vandervahn Chistu to destroy the "bandits Snord". Their assault turned into a dismal failure, in part because Rhonda Snord and her unit had advance warning of their plans, and in part due to the competition between the two Falcon commanders.

Buhallin and Chi-Li tried to undercut each other with their combat bidding, recklessly leaving out critical aerospace and Elemental support. When they attacked the defenders of Camelot, they suffered serious losses as a result, and were driven back to their ships. A furious Khan Chistu had both of them demoted to solahma units, sending a clear message to other Falcon officers of the consequences for failure.[4]

The Refusal War[edit]

By Septebmer 3057, Brikai would be returned to command of the 8th Falcon Regulars just in time for the Refusal War. His unit would fight against the 4th Wolf Guards Cluster and the 16th Battle Cluster on Sudeten during that conflict.[2]

Post Refusal War[edit]

By 3059, he would be relegated to command of Zeta Solahma Cluster[5] and he was still leading it on 3067.[6]

BattleMechs[edit]

Brikai Buhallin piloted a Kit Fox OmniMech.[1]

Notes[edit]
