Clan Sea Fox Naval Forces

Revision as of 02:05, 7 March 2023 by Ocherstone (talk | contribs)

Given their merchant proclivities and large reach across both the Clan Homeworlds and Inner Sphere, the Diamond Sharks historically maintained a large fleet. Often, combat DropShips were mixed with more mundane vessels, a surprise reserve element to protect their interests. [1] By 3067, many larger ships' grav-decks were upgraded with simulators to keep the warriors at the top of their skillset during long voyages.[2]

Following their reversion to Clan Sea Fox in 3100, the clan fully embraced their merchant inclinations. In the iiKhan-era, several Khanates floated amongst the Inner Sphere systems, each functionally independent and responsible for their own territories.[3]

Notes

Many vessels were removed from the Clan Diamond Shark roster following the Jihad, and new Merchant-Carrack ships were found in the Clan Sea Fox roster after 3145. In the past, Carracks that had been converted to the Merchant Carrack variant were included in some publications but then later excluded from later publications on the grounds that they were not used as offensive weapons:

It is not a WarShip per say, so it is not included in the rolls of offensive weapons. Same with the Clan Merchant Carracks, they were removed because they should never had been included in the first place. But Clan Nova Cat does have some merchant Carracks left, even if they have no proper WarShips.
